During her 27 years in the healthcare industry, Liza has been employed in a variety of positions as she worked her way up the corporate ladder. This has given her an opportunity to accomplish her administrative responsibilities and oversee her staff based on her hands-on experience rather than a simple managerial perspective. A native New Yorker, Liza moved to Florida in 1996 to accept a promotion with Coram Healthcare. After moving to Broward County, she advanced her education with a Bachelor of Science degree in Criminal Justice from Metropolitan University and has taken a number of continuing education courses in the health and administration fields over the years. After leaving Coram, she worked at Atenda Healthcare Solutions, Inc. in several positions including Case Manager Liaison, Intake Supervisor and Marketing and Provider Relations Representative before moving to All Metro Health Care. At All-Metro, Liza was their Business Development Administrator for four years. When she left there, Liza became the Business Development Administrator for Priority Care Nurses Registry in Plantation, Florida. She eventually was lured away to become the Administrator of the Florida branch of Star Multi Care. Liza is a proud Puerto Rican Latina and is a life-long advocate for the elderly. Those interests have led her to be Chair of the local Puerto Rican Hispanic Chamber of Commerce; be Treasurer of the Alzheimer's Family Center; serve as a Board Member for both the Aging and Disability Center as well as the Hispanic Vote; and act as former Co-Chair for Aspira as well as being active in several other community, Latin and senior-based organizations. In addition to being the proud mother of her two children, this busy Tamarac resident is the doting "abuela" to three grandchildren.
